Digital Storytelling with Youth in Foster Care

Created in partnership with Cumberland Youth and Family Services, this 3-week summer workshop brought teens in foster care to the UNT campus to collaborate with Media Arts students. Together, they produced youth-led films that highlight creativity, self-advocacy, and the power of storytelling to build confidence, community, and future opportunities.

To protect the identities of youth in care, they do not show their faces but rely on creative editing and storytelling methods and/or student actors.
