Conference Planning
The Mediating Change Conference was a multi-day event I founded and directed to explore how media can be used as a tool for equity and social change.
With a team, I led all aspects of planning and fundraising, from budgeting and logistics to curating a program that balanced scholarship, advocacy, and creative expression. The goal was to create a collaborative space where diverse communities could connect, share strategies, and imagine new possibilities for action.

The program featured panels, interactive art projects, and film screenings that sparked dialogue across sectors, bringing together media makers, mental health professionals, child welfare advocates, domestic violence specialists, and community organizers for collaboration and exchange.

Featuring a keynote address by cultural leader Maori Karmael Holmes, the conference created space for dialogue among artists, activists, scholars, and community organizations. A highlight of the program was a screening of the award-winning documentary Call Her Ganda, followed by a panel discussion with director PJ Raval, producer Curran Nault, and community advocates.
By bringing together diverse voices, the conference examined pressing issues, elevated creative strategies, and opened new pathways for advocacy and storytelling. It demonstrated how partnerships across disciplines can amplify impact, challenge inequities, and inspire meaningful social change.
